The method
Forestry mulching means we grind standing brush, Himalayan blackberry, and small trees into wood chips right where they grow. A spinning mulching head on a compact track loader does the work. You walk the lot when we’re done — chips underfoot instead of a slash pile waiting to burn. That is the main way we reclaim overgrown residential ground for land clearing around Marysville without digging or grading.
Typical Snohomish County lots: Himalayan blackberry walls, mixed brush and weeds, fence lines buried in canes, and young alder or saplings tangled into the stand. If it is standing vegetation you want ground in place, that is mulching territory. Large trees are not a mulching job. We flag keepers and point big wood to arborists. We do not do commercial timber harvest, excavation, or building-pad grading. Wetlands, steep slopes, and critical areas need a site visit — we may pause for you to check with the county or city before we grind.
Cut-and-haul means stacking brush, loading trucks, and dumping somewhere else. Burn piles mean smoke, neighbors, and fire risk. Mulching skips both on typical residential jobs: material is ground in place and left as mulch.
Most homeowners leave the chips. They break down and act as mulch — less bare dirt, fewer weeds rushing back into open soil. If you want less depth in a path or patio edge, we can load some into our dump trailer and haul it off. Same idea as our FAQ on hauling mulch.

Lighter yearly grass and weeds may only need a brush hog / brush clearing pass. When growth is a wall, the mulching head is the right tool. If you already walk the strip and just want edges kept open, start on the brush page — we’ll still confirm on site.

The compact track loader arrives on a trailer. A standard gate and a firm place to unload usually work on Marysville and nearby lots. Soft winter ground, a narrow side yard, or a shared driveway?
